I just finished the Mortal Engines quadrilogy for the third time, that was good.
Also just read Eldest again, because it rocks. |

Read fight club last month. Book is just as great as the movie. Its also a bit different. I recommend it!

Enjoyed the movie, but never read the book.
Last book I read was Eric Clapton bio. Time to find something else to read besides forums.

I'm in the middle of reading Twelve Kingdoms and just started Liberal Facism, which explains the history of the progressive movement and what the philosophy really means; very interesting if you like history and politics.

Currently reading "I Never Promised You a Rose Garden". Great book about a schizophrenic girl and her struggle to come back to reality, so to speak.

I'm currently reading the "First King of Shannara" by Terry Brooks. 4th book in the series. There's like 11 more books in the entire Shannara series so I'll be occupied with these for a while.
Sol Vie, I read that book I Never Promised You a Rose Garden, like 10 years ago at least. I remember that book vividly for some reason. I read Go Ask Alice right after that too. Then Jay's Journal... I must have been very depressed that year I think. LOL!! |

I've started reading Hemingway's A Farewell to Arms for school, but I'm actually liking it.
Hemingway's settings are AWFUL. They draw on and on with faulty parallelism and run-ons until you can hardly stand it and I realize the irony because I tend to do that myself but I'm more conscious of it now since I read his. (This sentence is intentional, if the irony is lost on anyone.) Sample: "There were mists over the river and clouds on the mountain and the trucks splashed mud on the road and the troops were muddy and wet in their capes; their rifles were wet and under their capes the two leather cartridge-boxes on the front of the belts, gray leather boxes heavy with the packs of clips of thin, long 6.5 mm. cartridges, bulged forward under the capes so that the men, passing on the road, marched as though they were six months gone with child." The dialogue is fine, though. Once you surmount all of the walls of text to get to the speech, it's very much readable. |

Recently I read Eragon, I'm about 100 pages from the end of Eldest. Ummm I just started the 2nd book in the Door Within Trilogy. I'm also waiting for the Ranger's Apprentice 4th book( Favorite series)
